The Telecom Technician is responsible for the hands-on installation, testing, and field verification of telecommunications systems on the EACOP project. Working under the supervision of the Telecom Commissioning Supervisor, the technician ensures that installation works are executed safely, accurately, and in compliance with approved design drawings, specifications, and international industry standards.
This role involves field-based execution of structured cabling, equipment/device mounting, fiber optic splicing and terminations, and
support of pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for telecom and security systems across EACOP sites.

Requirements
Technical Diploma / ONC in Electrical, Telecommunications, or Electronics.
Recognized trade certification (City & Guilds, BTEC, NVQ or equivalent).
ATEX/Ex Awareness (for hazardous area installations).
OSHA / HSE training in site safety, PTW, and confined space awareness.
Proficiency in telecom systems installation & commissioning (CCTV, PAGA, ACS, FO, data networks).
Ability to interpret cable schedules, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
Others/Extra Details
Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience in telecom installation & commissioning on oil & gas, pipeline, or large
infrastructure projects.
Proven background in structured cabling, FO termination, and telecom device integration.
